The Peo project was launched on March 9, 2017 at the University of Botswana Conference center in Gaborone,Botswana. The meeting convened collaborators across the three countries and 6 partner institutions involved in the Project as well as relevant stakeholders including CDC-Botswana, Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA), Botswana Institute for Technology Research and Innovation (BITRI), Botswana Police, private and public hospitals. The objective of this meeting was to provide an opportunity for stakeholders to interact face-to-face to discuss the project deliverables, timelines, brainstorm on increase awareness on the project in order to facilitate future inputs towards joint research agenda setting process.

Breast cancer Pilot

A research assistant has been identified for the multidisciplinary clinic pilot, and will begin orientation next week. Final IRB approvals (hospital ethics committee and cede of IRB review) are in final steps of completion.
